Changes to PSC registers Transitional Arrangements

Changes to PSC registers Transitional Arrangements

Under the transitional arrangements set out in the Schedule to the 2017 Regulations, the obligation in s. 790VA to notify changes to Companies House applies to a change to a company’s PSC register made before, on or after 26 June 2016 unless the company has already notified the change in a confirmation statement. Any change to the PSC register made before 26 June 2017 that is notifiable under this rule, must be notified to Companies House before the end of the period of 14 days beginning with 26 June 2017.

Confirmation statement

In view of the above changes, the requirement to provide as part of the confirmation statement an annual update of changes to the PSC register that have occurred during the year has been abolished. This requirement was set out in s. 853I, which has been repealed with effect from 26 June 2017.

However, when submitting a confirmation statement, a company must still confirm that all information that it was required to deliver to Companies House regarding changes to its PSC register under s. 790VA during the confirmation period either:

  • has been delivered;
  • or is being delivered at the same time as the confirmation

The transitional arrangements in the Schedule to the 2017 Amending Regulations state that these amendments to Part 24 (annual confirmation of accuracy of information on register) apply to a company which delivers a confirmation statement under section 853A on or after 26 June 2017, whether the confirmation period to which the statement relates ended before, on or after 26 June 2017.
